Acceptable: Large Bus or Heavy duty truck ( Tractor Trailers) Diesel Technician Job Responsibilities:•       Repair and troubleshoot major components such as engine, transmissions and differentials.•       Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts.•       Identify and report potentially dangerous equipment and additional repairs needed.•       Maintain a safe, clean, productive and efficient work area.•       Perform Service Calls and on the road repairs as assigned.•       Perform routine and preventative maintenance.•       Performs all other duties as assigned.Diesel Technician Job Qualifications:•       A minimum of 3 years/ prefer 5 years  hands-on C&G gas engine/diesel maintenance experience; preferred.•       Experience on Freightliner (AC), International, Chevy and Ford•       Meet minimum age requirement: 18 years of age.•       Must be able to pass pre-employment screening•       Must have own set of basic tools.•       Computer proficiency for reporting purposes        Freightliner A/C experience a plusDiesel Technician Required License/Certifications:•       Valid Driver’s License with - CDL preferred but not required•       Prefer ASE Certifications (Brakes, Oil Changes, Tires) a plus.Note: Traveling Techs commute from home residence must be over 50 miles from worksite in order to qualify for living expenses.Note: Must provide proof of residence to validate 50+ miles from job site.Must have steel toe bootsMust be able to pass CRIM & DMV ChecksMust be able to pass DOT PhysicalMust be able to pass FMCSA DOT Drug ScreenMust be able to pass 10 yr EMP Reference CheckMust have valid DL Must have high school diploma or GED EquivalentMust show -up on designated start date.Show up on time ready to work each dayMust have reliable transportation to transport toolsMust have own set of basic tools and proficient in use of them.Steel toe boots are requiredMust keep work area clean and safe.Safety is key
