Manager of Product Repair & Development

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Engineering Project Manager for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops and validates repairs to guide engineering processes.  Responsible for identifying new repairs that lead cost/cycle reduction and quality enhancements in addition to the following:
Responsible for reviewing identified scrapped parts and evaluate for developing cost effective repairs.
Identify areas for PMA/STC development to improve reliability on components.
Review usage of OE parts with high costs and develop alternate solutions to reduce cost with PMA/STC development.
Provide technical leadership for development, substantiation, and introduction of new repairs and processes.
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Coordinate roll-out of new repairs and equipment.

Qualifications and requirements:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering Degree required
• Materials and process background with experience in the aviation repair processes.
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with repair processes.
• Repair and engineering background, understanding engineering drawings.
• Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
• Demonstrated analysis and problem solving skills.
• Solid project management skills and ability to monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
