Machinist

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Machinist with machine shop tool operations experience for an opportunity in Lake City, FL.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform typical machine shop operations, operate milling machines (vertical and horizontal), lathes, drill presses, hydraulic presses and grinders.
• Perform layout and prepare shop drawings as required.
• Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform work within estimated hours.
• Follow all safety procedures and specifications.
• Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties.
• Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner.
• Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments with little or no rework.
• Assist other employees in the performance of their job assignments through coaching, counseling and guidance.
• Interface effectively with members of management, other departments and coworkers.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Five (5) or more years’ experience in machine shop tool operations.
• Must have the minimum tools as required.
• Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
• Must be willing to work any shift.
• Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
