Avionics Technician

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Avionic Technician with Military Fighter Jet or General Aviation experience on aircraft for a direct hire opportunity in Las Vegas, Nevada.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Avionic Technicians will maintain, inspect, repair, modify, overhaul and troubleshoot commercial aircraft in compliance with policies, manuals, procedures and requirements.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • 3 years of Avionics experience is preferred.
  • Must be familiar with, able to read and understand, wiring manuals, schematics, company/manufacturer, and wire diagram manuals.
  • Must be familiar with Garmin navigation.
  • Must be familiar with FLIR systems.
  • Must be able to wire and troubleshoot UHF/VHF radio systems.
  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • Must be able to work in small and confined spaces.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • Avionics experience is a plus on installing and troubleshooting military aircraft
  • Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
