Training Coordinator
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Training Coordinator for an opportunity in Albany, Georgia.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Training Coordinator shall be responsible for the following: 1) analyzing training needs, 2) developing new and maintaining existing curriculum, 3) creating training documents, and 4) delivering courses.
- Lead the Training Program through the creation and scheduled use of a training plan for hourly and salaried employees.
- Develop training programs for Thrush Aircraft LLC to include apprenticeships, on the job training (OJT), and professional development classes, using the body of knowledge stored on Sharepoint.
- Self-manage and evaluate training to ensure effective execution of training processes and training delivery.
- Collaborate with leadership and HR to identify training needs.
- Create development plans for teams and individuals.
- Conduct training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
- Design, prepare, and order educational aids and materials.
- Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the training impact as it relates to employee skills.
- Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness.
- Gather feedback from trainees after each educational session.
- Standardize training to incorporate best practices from both the organization and the industry.
- Maintain updated Sharepoint curriculum database, training matrix and training records.
- Host Train-The-Trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Continually evaluates training progress and training procedures to monitor and analyze course effectiveness.
- Update curriculum as required to ensure it is relevant.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to communicate on a one-on-one basis or in group situations, understand instructions, and follow SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), and effective communication with all levels of the organization.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of professional development and related experience
- 5+ years in a training role in a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years in a Leadership or influencing role
- Skilled in creating training materials using various platforms, i.e.: Digital Media, Interactive Power Point Presentations, MS Office Tools, etc.
- Experienced delivering training content through various means
- Certification or experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma preferred
- Experience working in aerospace as an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
