Material Handler
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Material Handler for a second shift opportunity in Lincolnshire, Illinois.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draw materials needed for travelers and parts orders from the cribs or any location on the premises.
- Locate material in a valid parts location once received into inventory and update the location in the tracking system.
- Issue material from travelers via the tracking system.
- Do required inventories to correct any on-hand discrepancies.
- Do pre-kit reports and draw material for pending travelers.
- Daily cycle counting.
- Organize product as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards and be quality conscious.
- Work to assist in the manufacture of quality products. Relocate parts racks and relocate material.
- Keep all inventory areas neat and in a logical order.
- Daily clean-up of yard and all material storage areas.
- Evaluate travelers to determine labor operation completed and update system.
- Keep accurate records, as nPerform operations that may require heavy lifting.
- Maintain good attendance record, be initiative-taking, with a willingness to learn and work well as a team with supervision and co-workers.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards and be quality conscious and dependable.
- Comply will all requirements of the waste handling training & procedures.
- Comply with all requirements of the Job Safety Analysis for this position.
- Comply with all requirements related to the care & maintenance of your required PPE.
Pay: $17.50/HR + OT opportunities
Qualifications and requirements:
- Must demonstrate ability to operate inventory control and production shop floor computer modules.
- Must be able to read a bill of material and pull and review blueprints to validate material pulled.
- Must be initiative-taking and work well as a team with supervision and co-workers.
- Must be dependable and have good attendance.
- Must be willing to work any required overtime.
- Must have a hi-lo license or ability to obtain a license.
- Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment urinalysis and background check.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. International Traffic in Arms Regulation/Export Administration Regulations (ITAR/EAR) clearance is required.
