Aviation Manufacturing Technician - LAUNCH Career Advancement Program

Our new LAUNCH Career Advancement Program is seeking Aviation Manufacturing Technicians to cross train and work in the different departments of our facility, which include machining, sheet metal fabrication, and our wire shops. This breakthrough position in our industry will give you the experience and training to highly advance your skill set and career, obtaining the expertise required to work all the different trades in an Aviation Component shop.
What does it mean to be an LCAP employee?
- The LCAP program is a paid contract-to-hire position for one 6-month period.
- This program is a comprehensive development program, which leverages key components for development – classroom-based training, on-the-job training, mentorship, and outlined progression.
- The LCAP Program will allow our client the opportunity to observe your performance qualifications and work habits before offering you a permanent position.
- It also offers you the opportunity, as an LCAP employee, to develop & refine your skills, particularly working on aircraft parts, and determine if our client is a good long-term employment fit for YOU!
- Not only will you be fully trained, but you will be evaluated throughout assignment for pay raises at 45 ($16.65), 90 ($17.30), and 135 days ($18.00) before you are converted as a full-time employee.

- General & Routing Equipment Maintenance
- CNC Milling & Turning
- Water Jet Cutting
- Sheetmetal Forming
- Welding
- Wire Harness Assembly & Fabrication
- Kitting
- Laser Wire Marking
- Heat Treating
- Sanding and Prep Paint
- Conversion Coating Aluminum
- Shot Peening
- Vinyl Decals Creation
Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: 6:00AM to 2:30PM
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Overtime: Yes (before/after shift and on weekends)
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Job Skills:
- Some experience preferred working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Experience working in the aerospace industry is preferred but not required.
- Previously operated band saw, saws, drills, or have used hand tools.
- Ability to set-up machines and fabricate parts.
- Basic saw, cold saw, band saw and milling machine operating experience.
- Basic computer skills (PC, E-mail, labor entry).
- Sheet metal cutting/shearing experience.
- Forklift operator experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass pre-employment drug and background check.
- Effectively speak, read, and write in the English language.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must have a positive attitude, be self-directed, goal oriented and career minded.
- Aviation knowledge is a preferred but not required.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Must have a sense of urgency and be detailed oriented.
- Ability to work with arms raised above head and perform repetitive tasks and motions.
- Ability to precisely manipulate hand tools in a variety of situations.
- Ability to stand, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and climb and sustain those positions for an extended period.
- Ability to move up materials to 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Good near sight/far sight acuity, hand/eye coordination, hearing, depth perception, field of vision.
