Mechanical Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for an opportunity in Melbourne, Florida
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in the development and implementation of technical solutions applied to manufacturing processes, seeking the reduction of recurring and non- recurring industrial costs focusing on the improvement of quality and efficiency of resources. Participate in the development of budget, planning and control of resources necessary to the implementation of new projects and programs, under supervision.
- Study and understand Embraer manufacturing processes and the products
- Define optimized technical solutions to assembly and test the products
- Analyze processes and products to identify improvement opportunities
- Analyze non-conformances and define optimized solutions to solve the technical issues
- Analyze and define best way to implement processes and products modification requests
- Help to organize and prioritize activities inside and outside the area
- Help to monitor and track activities inside and outside the area
- Help to define and keep strategic KPIs to measure area performance
- Train and mentor people from the same and from other teams
- Applying engineering and quality methodologies and tools
- Integrating and involving other areas (Engineering, Production, Planning, other sites etc)
- Creating organized and robust documents and reports
- Seeking to achieve excellence in the following pillars: Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
- Using project managements tools
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering degree required
- Must be onsite, no remote.
- Would like candidates to have aviation or automotive experience.

- Software: MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Lean manufacturing concepts and tools
- First Article Inspection - FAI concept and methodology
- Software: Catia, MES, SAP
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
