Maintenance Planner

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Planner with 3 year's experience in large aircraft heavy maintenance and large aircraft heavy maintenance planning. This opportunity is in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use the AMOS database and ASTRO Operations Manager database to monitor the TAT, TAC, flight schedule, and geographical locations of company aircraft.
  • Work closely with Planning Coordinators to schedule work packages as required.
  • Use ASTRO Operations Manager database to create and monitor flight blocks for routine/scheduled maintenance.
  • Use the AMOS database to monitor the time remaining on all routine/scheduled maintenance events and ensure all events are issued and accomplished within specified time limits.
  • Create work packages and issue work orders, within the AMOS database, for line maintenance and maintenance checks of all levels (A, C, & D-Checks).
  • Accomplish audits of work packages, generated by other planners, for accuracy and completion.
  • Work closely with Line Maintenance Coordinators to ensure work packages and work orders are scheduled at a location with sufficient ground time, manpower, parts, tools, equipment, and qualified personnel to be accomplished within time limits.
  • Work closely with the Stores, Maintenance, and QC departments to ensure special tools, materials, and qualified personnel (i.e. ETOPS, NDT, structures, Inspector…) are available and in place for the accomplishment of all work orders.
  • Work closely with the Quality Control department in reading, interpreting, and implementing Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
  • Provide QC Records Department with summary reports for work packages that have been developed for maintenance checks (A, C, D-Check).
  • Prepare, issue, and update reports/forecasts for line maintenance and maintenance checks of all levels (A, C, and D-Checks), as delegated by the Planning Manager.
  • Assist in the implementation of new aircraft into the Kalitta Air, LLC fleet.
  • Support any Maintenance Action Plan (MAP) to ensure compliance with time limited items.
  • Prepare and issue pre-dock meeting agendas for work-packages.
  • Attend the daily Line Maintenance Planning Meeting.
  • Perform a daily review of open work packages and work orders. Provide a report listing these items to Maintenance Control as necessary.
  • Perform the duties/responsibilities of a Line Maintenance Planning Coordinator as delegated by the Planning Manager.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • 3 years experience in large aircraft heavy maintenance (A&P License/QC experience preferred); or
  • 3 years experience in large aircraft heavy Maintenance Planning.
  • Experience in reading and understanding Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB) to determine:
    • Effectivity to the fleet (Group, Configuration, Condition)
    • Required actions & constraints
    • Required materials (parts & tooling)
    • Required number of persons & skill set, task hours, and aircraft ground time to accomplish task
    • Applicable SB Work Instructions, Figures, & Tables
  • General knowledge of large aircraft systems and structures (Boeing Model 747, 767, and 777 preferred).
  • Working knowledge of large aircraft manuals (i.e. AMM, CMM, IPC, SRM, MPD, CPCP, SSID, NDT).
  • Computer experience with Aviation Data Bases, Microsoft Word and Excel.
