Director of Engineering
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Director of Engineering for an opportunity in Gainesville, TX
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs the overall function of the seat design and development group. Oversees daily activities in product design. Responsible for standardization, quality of designs, manufacturability of seats and seat components, and maintaining design schedules.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Must have strong knowledge of CAD, CATIA strongly preferred and understand their relationship to mechanical drafting and design.
- Must have the ability to plan and think strategically and resolve problems.
- Requires the ability to communicate and work effectively with subordinates, peers, and supervisors.
- Must have effective interpersonal skills, good command of written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with capacity planning and employee deployment processes and tools (mechanical or aerospace strongly preferred).
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
- Requires a minimum of 10 years related product design experience, with 5 of those years in managerial experience required.
