School Bus Technician
Xenia, OH
Equipment: All of our buses are 2007+, Internationals, Thomas and company pickup trucks and box trucks
Pay: $18-$19 per hour, depending on experience
Shift: M-F 1st Shift 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
School Bus Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Routine and preventative maintenance on school buses
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs;
- Steering, electrical, cooling, brake systems, air brakes, warranty procedures, clutches, drive trains, suspension, gas regulating components, transmissions, etc.
- Ensures proper work methods and techniques
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State/Provincial and local regulations, requirements, standards and specifications and company policies.
- Maintain a safe, clean and productive work area
- Performs assigned vehicle and facility maintenance related duties (e.g. vehicle washing, cleaning, fueling, oil changes, lubrication, light vehicle repair etc.) in a safe and timely manner.
- Arranges for and obtains appropriate inspections and approval of all repairs before vehicle is released from maintenance facility.
- Records time spent, parts used and repairs and/or maintenance conducted on the appropriate form.
- Other duties may be assigned
School Bus Technician Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years of related diesel experience.
- Must possess CDL B.
- Must have own tools
- Must have steel toe boots
- Must have high school diploma or GED Equivalent
- Must be able to pass FMCSA DOT Drug Screen
- Must be able to pass DOT Physical
- Must be able to pass EMP Check
- Must be able to pass CRIM / DMV Checks
