Certification Manager
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Certification Manager for an opportunity in Lombard, IL.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Certification Manager will be responsible for contacts and project management with engineering firms, certification contracts, all FAA Certification activities, and act as a Certification knowledge-base for the company. In addition, the Certification Manager will establish and maintain project plans for certification projects as well as plans for coming STC projects. The candidate will also be responsible for validations and assist with answers regarding certification in RFXs and contracts.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related aviation discipline by an accredited university or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of 5 years of Aviation industry experience interfacing with the FAA and MRO on Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) and related projects.
- Minimum of 3 years of Onsite Aviation Installation team and Product Support Engineer management experience, Field Support, and Maintenance Supervision
- Minimum of 3 years of Field Engineering, Liaison Engineering, E/E Engineering Installation support
- Strong Communication and leadership skills and ability to work with a diverse set of agencies and vendors
- EASA Certification knowledge and concurrent EASA/FAA regulations is a big plus
- EFB knowledge is a plus (AC120-76C, AMC 20-25, AC20-173 and related regulations)
- FAA (and possibly EASA) Certification experience, and contact with regulatory bodies a plus
- Ability to multi-task at a high level
- Strong operations background in Aviation with experience in logistics, engineering, maintenance, and related areas.
- Strong desire to be in aviation structural or electrical disciplines
- Extremely detail oriented
- Strong with MS Office, MS Project and other tools of program management
- Ability to professionally present our company and its services to high level customers and stakeholders
- Demonstrates the GEE Core Values in attitude and approach to work
- Experience with CAD programs, SolidWorks is a plus
- Experienced in FEM analysis is a plus
- Any FAA or EASA qualification is a plus (DER, DAR, CVE)
- Any experience with PMA regulation, methods and control is a plus
