Avionics Systems Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Avionics Systems Engineer for an opportunity in Lombard, IL.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Engineering position to support the Aircraft Design and Certification Engineering team. The role will focus on the Design, Installation and Development of the Connectivity system onboard Commercial Aircraft. Includes system interface development, equipment placement and all certification aspects pertaining to the installation design and certification. The position will also support sustaining current installations and designs for the customer base to make minor and major changes to existing documentation in support of system upgrades and modifications. Duties may also include development and qualification of new LRUs for use in the Connectivity System.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, with an avionics background including, but not limited to, Communications, Electrical Power, and Information Systems
- Minimum three (3) years experience in the airline industry
- Knowledgeable background in aircraft electronics, avionics systems, power distribution and cabin electronics
- Background in troubleshooting aircraft avionics and system problems
- Experienced in systems integration
- Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) governing aircraft certification and maintenance
- Airbus/Embraer experience preferred but not required
- Flexible work schedule required may include shifts, weekends, and/or holidays
- Able to maintain a regular work schedule and be punctual
- Pass a ten (10) year background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC)
- Legally eligible to work in the USA
