Manufacturing Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking manufacturing engineers for an opportunity in Redmond, WA.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive production process improvements, including robotics and automation, to reduce labor and component cost and maximize quality.
- Deep dive quality issues to drive towards the root cause and implement effective process controls.
- Define, select, and implement new process equipment.
- Analyze manufacturing flows to improve the product quality, reduce product cost, improve factory efficiency and is a focal point for continuous improvement activities.
- Develop, design and maintain production tooling necessary to attain manufacturability and testing of parts or finished products.
- Develop and maintains accurate detailed process documentation.
- Work closely and represents production on new development programs and ensures engineering drawings meet manufacturing requirements.
- Applying Lean tools to improve process efficiencies and reduce waste.
- Perform time studies and establish manufacturing efficiencies. Take action on gaps to meet system standards.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Four year engineering or technical degree or equivalent and 1 to 2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must demonstrate effective verbal / technical writing skills and be proficient with common computer applications.
- Strong root cause analytical skills are also required.
- Experience in assembly, paint application, photometric testing is preferred.
- Effective in a team based environment. Proactive change agent and have a lean mindset.
- AutoCAD or Solidworks experience a plus.
- Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
