Manufacturing Engineer

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking manufacturing engineers for an opportunity in Redmond, WA. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive production process improvements, including robotics and automation, to reduce labor and component cost and maximize quality.
  • Deep dive quality issues to drive towards the root cause and implement effective process controls.
  • Define, select, and implement new process equipment.
  • Analyze manufacturing flows to improve the product quality, reduce product cost, improve factory efficiency and is a focal point for continuous improvement activities. 
  • Develop, design and maintain production tooling necessary to attain manufacturability and testing of parts or finished products.
  • Develop and maintains accurate detailed process documentation. 
  • Work closely and represents production on new development programs and ensures engineering drawings meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Applying Lean tools to improve process efficiencies and reduce waste.
  • Perform time studies and establish manufacturing efficiencies. Take action on gaps to meet system standards.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Four year engineering or technical degree or equivalent and 1 to 2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal / technical writing skills and be proficient with common computer applications. 
  • Strong root cause analytical skills are also required. 
  • Experience in assembly, paint application, photometric testing is preferred. 
  • Effective in a team based environment. Proactive change agent and have a lean mindset.
  • AutoCAD or Solidworks experience a plus. 
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. 
  •
