Senior Avionics Engineer

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Avionics Senior Engineer for an opportunity in Nagoya, Japan. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic work scope is to develop and finalize of the T/C design, compliant to all applicable requirements.

The responsible Engineer will work the activities of Avionics. This will include interfacing with all other aircraft functions and engineering teams to coordinate and obtain the approval of any task assigned contributing to the aircraft avionics development and Certification.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering Technical Aviation with 5 years. aviation related experience, or
• 5+ years in an aviation engineering organization Aerospace or Aircraft Systems Engineering.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, working in a team environment, dealing with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles.
• Ability to identify potential issues with machinery development, manufacturing processes or parts.
• Needs the ability to develop, plan and implement short and long term goal.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• 10+ years’ experience in Avionics or any of the following experience: Have negotiation experience with Authority (FAA, EASA, Transport Canada, ANAC, etc.) and/or have DER (or equivalent) qualification,
• Have written and reviewed documents related to cert plan, V&V, safety assessment, etc.
• Have directly worked with major Avionics suppliers such as Rockwell Collins, etc.
• Have knowledge of the following ATA chapters: ATA23(Communications), ATA31 (indicating/Recording Systems), ATA 34 (Navigation), and ATA 42(Integrated Modular Avionics).
