Certification Project Engineer

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Certification Project Engineers for an opportunity in Chicago, IL.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Aircraft Integration and Certification Project Engineer is capable of managing all aspects of multiple large internal or external projects through the engineering lifecycle including project plans, project budgets, resources and delivery of outcomes. Implements project management best practices to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and meet the overall project objectives.

Qualifications and requirements:

• 8 years of Project Management in a technical environment.
• 4 years experience in an engineering or certification environment.
• 4 years commercial aircraft structural and/or electrical engineering experience.
• Demonstrable Proficiency in MS Project and Power Point.
• Engineering degree in a relevant field.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) or equivalent PM experience.
• Extensive practical knowledge of project management theory, concepts and principles (e.g., theory of constraints, critical path methodology, project risk management, triple constraints, project scope management, project management lifecycle, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a high paced environment.
• Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills, critical thinker with excellent judgment and initiative.
• Superior communication skills with all levels of employees, both internal and external customers, including presentations, negotiations and written reports.
