LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Sr Mechanical Design Engineer for an opportunity in Redmond, WA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to technical projects, finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve products, techniques, procedures, and technologies. You will design and develop new ideas and solutions for new product development as well as current products modification and improvements based on in-service issues and market strategy. You are responsible for design and implementation of mechanical parts, subassemblies and product improvements
  Key Responsibilities
  • Tooling and fixture design for inertial instruments
  • Sensor design
  • Finite Element Analysis for components and systems
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Technical reports and documentation
  • 3D modeling
  • GD&T analysis
  • Support RCCA activity
  • Write specifications
  • Perform cost estimation for design tasks and piece part components
  
  YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Must be a US Citizen due to program security requirements
  • >4 years’ experience with tooling/fixture design
  • >4 years’ experience with design tools appropriate for the field (Creo, Solidworks, ANSYS, AutoCad, etc.)
