Certification Manager

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Certification Manager for an opportunity in Nagoya, Japan. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Certification Manager will be responsible for resolving the technical problems by promoting analysis of the design, and creating and reviewing certification related documents. Manage certification projects of each function and maintain certification of existing systems for survivability, protection for fluid leakage, and bomb threat. Facilitate certification projects by interfacing with other aircraft functional groups and engineering teams to resolve any issues preventing the certification work flow. Support completion of documentation as an educator/trainer of the team. Travel to various system suppliers as required ensuring efficient integration of equipment. Work as team in a multi-cultural and an international working environments in Japan. Japanese Language skill is not required.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, with 10+ years of aeronautical and/or systems engineering experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in certification management of aircraft particular risk analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of the current certification and regulatory guidance material, related to survivability of systems, bomb threat requirements, protection from fluid leakage, cabin safety requirements and structural design
  • In-depth understanding of Validation and Verification related to particular risk analysis design
  • Demonstrated success in developing and certifying new aircraft programs
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, work in a team environment, deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles
  • Ability to identify potential issues with machinery development, manufacturing processes or parts
  • Ability to develop, plan and implement short and long-term goals
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Experience managing key industry suppliers to deliver on development execution targets
  • Ability to strategize, plan and execute objectives on time to quality
