Senior Design Engineer

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for an opportunity in Nagoya, Japan. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsible Engineer will be responsible for the activities of the Tailcone/ APU Design Integration, testing and certification. This will include interfacing with all other relevant aircraft functions and engineering teams to coordinate and obtain the approval of any task assigned contributing to the aircraft Tailcone / APU Design Integration development and Certification. The engineer will be required to work as team member in a multi-cultural and international working environment such as that in the MITAC Japan Headquarters. Proficiency or knowledge of Japanese is an asset but is not required.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Technical Aviation with 5 years. aviation related experience, or
  • A minimum of 5 years in an aviation engineering discipline
  • Experience in ATA26, ATA49, ATA70-79
  • Experience in ATA26, ATA49, ATA70-79
  • Understand the requirements of 14 CFR Part 25, EASA CS-25 and JCAB certification process
  • In depth understanding of the design, qualification and certification process of the Aircraft and Propulsion Systems
  • Have an excellent understanding of RTCA160 testing requirements
  • Have an excellent understanding of Aerospace Standards
  • Be familiar with FADEC design
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Be a good communicator, be familiar and comfortable working in a team environment, dealing with a wide variety of personalities, cultures and communication styles
  • Ability to identify potential issues with hardware development, manufacturing processes or parts.
  • Needs the ability to develop, plan and implement short and long term project goals
  • Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic environment
