Senior Aerospace Engineer 

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Aerospace Engineer for an opportunity in Nagoya, Japan. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsible Engineer will work the activities of Propulsion/APU Zones, Pressurized Areas, and Unpressurized Areas. This will include interfacing with all other aircraft functions and engineering teams to coordinate and obtain the approval of any task assigned contributing to the aircraft Propulsion/APU Zones, Pressurized Areas, Unpressurized Areas development and Certification. Manage the technical contract requirements with applicable Propulsion/APU Zones, Pressurized Areas, Unpressurized Areas suppliers and other interfacing suppliers.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technical Aviation with 15 years aviation related experience, or
  • 15-20 years in an aviation engineering organization aerospace or aircraft systems engineering
  • Ability to review of fire safety activities for engine nacelle/tail-cone conducted by other teams
  • Ability to certificate pylon fire safety 
  • Ability to prepare of FSE PRA reports for Propulsion/APU Zones
  • Ability to control the drainage/ventilation analysis and tests in conjunction with the MITAC specialists and CATIA engineer
  • Experience of zonal level analysis
  • Understanding of the regulatory requirements for fire safety in the Propulsion, APU Zones, Pressurized, and Unpressurized Areas
  • Capability to coordinate the drainage/ventilation analysis and tests with specialists
  • Good communication with ATA teams and suppliers
  • Capability of documentation for T/C
  • Ability to manage of FSE PRA and CP G15 issues for Pressurized and Unpressurized Areas
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, work in a team environment, deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles
  • Ability to identify potential issues with machinery development, manufacturing processes or parts
  • Needs the ability to develop, plan and implement short and long-term goals
  • Ability to adapt to change
