LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Aircraft Structures Mechanic 3 for an opportunity in El Segundo, CA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• • Layout, assembly, installation, and rework of aircraft parts, assemblies and skins including necessary incidental fabrication of pre-production, development or production aircraft
  • Determine methods and sequence of structural assembly, installation, repair, rework, and modification operations on pre-production aircraft.
  • Lays out, locates, fits, trims, assembles, and installs parts assemblies and skins where dimensions are critical, and fitting is to exacting tolerance.
  • Drill, countersink and rivet exterior skin panels where skin quality is critical. Works from all types of complex blueprints, E.O.’s and production illustrations; is often required to work without adequate tooling or on jobs where engineering and tooling information is incomplete.
  • Completes any or all structural rework/repair, squawks, E.O.’s and part shortages.
  • May be required to work in other fields incidental to, and in connection with, completion of assignment.
  • May work with the assistance of lower classified employees; may assist higher classified workers on occasion.
  • Direct and train other employees as assigned.
  • Perform work of the level described herein, and interpret complex blueprints and use arithmetic involving decimals and fractions.
  • May direct and train other employees as assigned.
  • Perform pickup, repair and rework as necessary where the type and kind of work is within the level of difficult required to perform the regular assignments of the classification.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
  • Must be able to utilize computer-based systems to perform duties.
  • May be required to work in confined space.
  • Maintained required certifications and qualifications on area of specialization. Must be willing/able to work any shift or schedule.

Qualifications and requirements:

• • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must have at least 3 1/2 years of related Mechanical Experience
• This role requires the following medical exams
  • Dust Mask Only/MED3004
  • Air Purifying Respirator/MED3001
  • Audio/MED5002
