Senior Software Developer

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Developer for an opportunity in Lombard, IL. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Under the supervision of the DMS Technical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for completing his/her tasks within the framework of ongoing development and operation of a wireless in-flight service and entertainment solution. The position requires working closely with members of the development, operations, and IT teams.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

 

  • College or university diploma related to computer science;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Web development;
  • More than 2 years of experiences in web-oriented Python development;
  • Experience in C++/C# or other object-oriented programming;
  • Experience in SQL and No-SQL databases;
  • Experience in HTML/CSS/JavaScript;
  • Experience in REST/JSON API development;
  • Considerable experience working with Linux;
  • Knowledge of client-side JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, CanJS, etc.);
  • Knowledge of configuration management;
  • Knowledge of Pyramid and Chameleon templating system is an asset;
  • Experience with video streaming/VOD/WebTV is an asset;
  • Experience in Mobile application development (iOS, Android) is an asset;
  • Knowledge in MySQL is an asset;
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written; French is an asset.
