Senior Software Developer

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Developer for an opportunity in Montreal, Quebec. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervised by the DMS Technical Manager, the job incumbent will develop many different back-end and front-end components and modules included in the Airtime framework. Some of the modules are standalone applications with graphical interfaces. The developer will work in an open-minded team that collaborates regularly and interacts with project managers, development teams, system admin teams, graphic artists, and the quality assurance department.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Minimum of college or university degree in computer science;
• More than 3 years of experience in Python;
• More than 2 years of experience in C++ or other object-oriented programming;
• Experience in web API development (REST/JSON);
• Strong experience in Linux development and environment;
• Experience in web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS);
• Experience with SQL and/or no-SQL databases;
• Experience with the following Python frameworks is an asset: falcon, pyramid;
• Work experience as a Linux system administrator and/or in a web hosting environment is an asset;
• Knowledge of system administration tools and software is an asset;
• Experience in environment deployment using Ansible (YAML) is an asset;
• Understanding of Android and iOS development life cycle is an asset;
• Experience in other development languages (C#, Java) is an asset;
• Fluent in English, spoken and written; French is an asset.
