Web Developer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Web Developer for an opportunity in Montreal, Quebec.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the DMS Technical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for completing his/her tasks within the framework of ongoing development and operation of a wireless in-flight service and entertainment solution. The position requires working closely with members of the development, operations, and IT teams.
More specifically, the web developer will be required to:
- Analyze project specifications;
- Identify and document Web application requirements;
- Identify and document interaction with application logic modules;
- Determine tasks to be carried out;
- Estimate development time;
- Develop and optimize Web applications;
- Develop front-end (UI) and back-end modules;
- Integrate software in a variety of portable electronic devices;
- Application with application logic modules;
- Test products;
- Collaborate with parties involved throughout the project;
- Keep abreast with new Web integration technologies.
Qualifications and requirements:
- College or university diploma related to computer science;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Web development;
- More than 2 years of experiences in web-oriented Python development;
- Experience in SQL and No-SQL databases;
- Experience in HTML/CSS/JavaScript;
- Experience in REST/JSON API development;
- Considerable experience working with Linux;
- Knowledge of client-side JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, CanJS, etc.);
- Knowledge of configuration management;
- Knowledge of Pyramid and Chameleon templating system is an asset;
- Experience with video streaming/VOD/WebTV is an asset;
- Experience in Mobile application development (iOS, Android) is an asset;
- Knowledge in MySQL is an asset;
- Bilingual (French/English) spoken and written.
