Interiors Engineer II
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Interiors Engineer for an opportunity in Atlanta,GA.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Cabin Engineer is responsible for coordinating and authoring various engineering documents to support the operational needs of the fleet from a cabin maintenance, reliability, and branding standpoint. This position is responsible for providing oversight and support for various interior components, including but not limited to passenger and crew seating, galleys, lavs, closets, partitions, cabin panels, and decorative finishes. Additionally, this position is responsible for technical aspects of various interior reconfiguration and reliability improvement projects and maintenance programs and documentation. Develops and maintains awareness of pertinent industry activities and technology trends. Maintains compliance with applicable FAA, DOT, ICAO, FDA, OSHA regulations and Delta's Technical Operations Policy and Procedures (TOPP) pertaining to the development of equipment alterations and repairs. The Cabin Engineer establishes work prioritization and balances multiple concurrent projects. As well as coordinates projects with internal and external organizations, including various commodity suppliers. Adheres to, and supports group performance metrics and works toward specific group goals. Develops strong internal customer relationships and maintains high level of customer focus. The successful candidate will be responsible for consistently practicing safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Qualifications and requirements:
- The Cabin Engineer position requires a four year accredited undergraduate engineering degree (AE, ME, EE).
- Familiarity with FAR's and DOT regulations pertaining to the cabin interior is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years experience with aircraft interior modifications with a minimum of 3 years total aviation related engineering experience.
- Knowledge and experience with major airline operations is desired. Knowledge of Technical Operations policies and procedures is preferred.
- The successful candidate should have the ability to communicate to a diverse audience in various formal and informal environments.
- Ability to analyze incomplete information and implement timely decision making while mitigating risk factors.
