Product Data Manager

LAUNCH Professional Services is seeking a Product Data Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Huntington Beach, CA.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Product Data Manager will be in charge of all functions relating to CAD and PLM including document control, the library, and the PLM system.  Will manage PLM team members as assigned.

• Optimizes the development and management of the PLM system; implements additional functionality and configuration. Continuously solicits feedback from users to drive process improvement.
• Oversees all PDM activities in Windchill and CATIA.
• Develops, maintains, and provides training for usage standards and best practices.
• Provides final check in document control workflows to ensure data integrity.
• Ensures long-term compatibility with ERP and other PLM modules; identifies issues and works with IT on resolution.
• Manages Standard Parts library.
• Manages part number and meta data aspects of all items in PLM system.
• Communicates engineering data/procedural impact with management; propose and implement solutions.
• Supports data access for external parties (e.g., FAA, vendors); provides controlled or limited access to information; works with IT on security access.
• As assigned, will assist with recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and recommending employee development opportunities.
• Accomplishes results through assigned team by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and applying disciplinary action.
• Maintains a safe, secure and legal work environment; adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintains and protects the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned or requested.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree.   A combination of related experience and education may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• 3-5 years in similar role required
• Min 3 years of experience with PTC Windchill.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Database management PHP/MySQL experience preferred.
• CATIA V5 experience a plus.
