Manufacturing Engineering Planner

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Planner for an opportunity in Wichita, KS.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Manufacturing Engineering consists of jobs which provide manufacturing producibility knowledge and information for the engineering and manufacturing processes. Implements fabrication, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams. Develops tooling, interchangeability and replacement, and functional test plans. Using the established manufacturing process flow, defines sequences of events, develops text and graphics work instructions, manufacturing datasets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of material. Communicates with engineering teams to influence and clarify design concepts. Coordinates change incorporation, optimizes processes, addresses producibility issues and production and postproduction problems. Has the ability to demonstrate configuration control of the hardware, within the manufacturing build plan. Ability to apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related curriculum or equivalent experience/education/certification.
  • 6 to 9 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and 4 to 7 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • SAP experience required
  • Must have Production Plans/Planning experience
  • Must have Technical Planning background (Fab/Light Structures/Assembly/Machined Parts)
  • Must have Metal finishing experience
  • Must be fluently proficient in the use of precision measurement equipment.
