Warehouse Supervisor
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Burr Ridge, IL.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Supervisor focused on inventory management will report directly to the Operations Manager. The person in this role will actively participate on the Operations Management team and will collaborate with other teams such as purchasing, product development and sales. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the daily managements of inventory including: picking, receiving, adjustments, returns and other inventory best practices.
Responsibilities
- Pick and Pull of daily orders.
- Receiving of all shipments daily.
- Reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
- Manage cycle counts, inventory adjustments and transfers.
- Insures that the warehouse is kept neat and organized at all times.
- Supervises staff with direction, training, and coordination of daily activities.
- Communicates and coordinates with supervisors on the other shift and departments.
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve warehouse performance.
- Identifies and communicates all problems to management in a timely manner.
- Presents potential solutions to management.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years warehouse supervisor experience
- Knowledge of warehousing, logistics, and supply chain principles and processes
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Physical activity includes regular standing, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and climbing stairs and ladders.
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely operate and control ware house equipment and machinery.
- PC literate in Microsoft word and excel
- Willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime during peak business periods
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
