Job Summary:

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking qualified Metal Fabrication Technician to support our client manufacturing operations in Sedro Woolley, WA.

Job Requirements

The right candidate must be must be proficient in MIG welding and be able to pass a welding test or provide a welding certification. Must have the ability to read blueprints and be familiar with Stainless Steel sheet metal and structural stainless steel welding. Basic knowledge of shop fabrication equipment a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• MIG welding steel sheets, tubing, pipe and shapes that meet or exceed company and quality standards in a productive manner.
• Prepares materials for welding; cuts, grinds and cleans metal. Utilizes fabrication skills to complete all phases of fabrication.
• Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times.
• 3-5 years of TIG or MIG welding experience (combination of work and school is acceptable).
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic math, including working with decimals, and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Reads and understands blue prints, isometric drawings and work orders
• Able to perform detailed work with a strong attention to detail and quality.
• Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
• Metrology Certification a plus
• Performs on the job training, AS9100, Nadcap training and other training as required 
• Sets up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction
• Knowledge and use of common hand tools and metal fabrication equipment
• Must be willing to work any shift.
• Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
