Position Description:
Setup Vericut to verify cnc programs for gouges, crashes, over travel and any potential errors. Reviews cnc programs, setup documentation, tool lists, fixtures and cutting processes prior to releasing to shop floor. Upon review, feedback will be provided to the NC Programmer and Manager for modification until conforming and acceptable. This position will be vital to reducing errors in cnc programs before being released.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Proficient with Vericut version 7.1 or newer
• Knowledge of Catia and CATV desirable
• Prior experience on shop floor setting up and running CNC machines
• Must be proficient with Windows 7 , Microsoft power point, Microsoft Word
• Understand proper use of cutting tools, speeds , feeds, depth of cut
• Understand fixtures and part holding techniques
• Ability to visualize cutting processes 3 dimensionally
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot potential problems quickly
• Able to work well with others under pressure situations
• Able to provide constructive feedback
• Eager to learn new software, techniques and methods used in programming parts
• Ability to work in a fast paced, fast changing environment.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving experience
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Special Work Conditions:
• Able to sit for extended periods of time
• Able to work extended hours as needed with work load flex
