Quality Control Technician

We are currently looking to hire a full time quality technician for our production facility in Itasca, IL. 

This is a full time position paying up to 18.50/hour and can interview and start right away. The role is on the 1st shift, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

Summary: This position is responsible for quality control of incoming raw materials and production batches. Other duties include retrieving raw materials, weighing, mixing, filling, filtering pilot production batches and additives needed for both UV / and AQ chemistries.  The hours for this position are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Overtime is available as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned by Manager.

• Perform quality control tests on incoming raw materials and finished goods
• Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications
• Records test results on standardized forms and computer
• Keep and maintain batch retains
• Keep and maintain batch tickets, raw material, C of A’s and raw material samples
• Visually inspect products for correct number, descriptions and quantities of each item on job ticket
• Notify supervisor of product and/or inventory discrepancies
• Prepare equipment as well as making sure it is clean & safe to use
• Follow instructions per batch ticket to ensure add-in sequence, quantities & mixing time
• Quality Control pilot batch per specifications
• If filling to container for shipping, follow label instructions
• Notify supervisor if instructions are unclear or incomplete
• Assist in department cleaning and general maintenance
• Maintain company safety standards
• Participate in physical inventories
