Quality Receiving Inspector  

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Quality Receiving Inspectors with experience performing minor maintenance and repairs on commercial aircraft for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Seeking a qualified individual with a background as a technician or inspector in the aviation environment. The position will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming goods and products conform to the requirements, as issued in accordance with company policy.

 

  • Responsible for the Inspection of incoming goods and products
  • Ensures all items are inspected for quantity, quality, conformity to approved data, state of preservation, and are received from an approved source
  • Reads Engineering blueprints to determine requirements for incoming inspections
  • Interrogates material records to ensure proper trace back to original source
  • Takes measurements of key characteristics of parts using traditional measuring devices
  • Records Acceptance / Rejection information in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool

 

Qualifications and requirements:

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ years experience as a technician and / or inspector in an aviation environment
  • Must be able to be proficient with computers
  • Must be capable of using traditional measuring devices, such as scales, depth gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify that parts and raw materials meet specification requirements
  • Must be capable of interpreting drawings, blueprints, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, industry specifications, and any other related documents, as required
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language
  • Quality control experience
  • Experience with fabrication methods and practices of structural, composite and electrical parts and components.
  • Knowledge of equipment and facility maintenance, housekeeping and shop practices.
  • Excellent computer skills and be proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Experience with Epicor ERP software
