Stress Engineer - Entry Level
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Stress Engineer for an opportunity in Independence, OH.
POSITION SUMMARY
- Provides knowledge of strength, ability, residual strength, fatigue, and fracture analyses of detail designs of landing gear using both computer modeling and analysis methods and classical calculation methods.
- Ensures compliance to engineering methodologies by providing direction/guidance to the stress team.
- Maintains compliance to ITAR and regulatory requirements
- Perform strength, stability, residual strength, fatigue, damage tolerance and fracture analyses of detail designs of landing gear using both computer modeling analysis methods and classical calculation methods.
- Preparation of detailed stress reports for review with Senior Stress Engineers.
- Review drawings with other company disciplines and provide structures input and analysis.
- Analyze structural repairs for landing gear.
- Review test results and correlate with analytical models. Evaluate test results that may impact the design or require a design improvement.
- Support research in such fields as failure analysis, finite elements, methods of stress analysis, thermal effects, fatigue, and fracture mechanics.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- FEA analysis experience
- 3D modeling background
- Must be US Person
