Supply Chain Manager
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Supply Chain Manager with extensive aerospace manufacturing experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in multiple areas of the business for the purchase and distribution of raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies. Develops and provides leadership to institutionalize the Business System processes in accordance with organization goals and objectives. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities: Develops and updates purchasing policies and procedures for raw materials, purchased parts, fabricated parts, components, services, supplies and assets. Ensures company and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards and procedures are followed regarding purchasing and estimating along with other regulatory and/or customer requirements. Assumes the project leader and point of contact role for systems implementation including division and enterprise coordination. Manages the preparation of the bid/proposal packages and analyzes the work statements to ensure work is properly aligned with division core competencies and/or future growth plan. Defines systems specifications, develops and installs complete cost estimating systems that will accurately predict the cost of producing products or services to include terms and conditions costs. Manages the procurement function for direct, indirect and capital procurement; coordinates with strategic supply chain on commodity and strategic sourcing activities to perform in the business’ best interest; reviews and approves purchase order claims and contracts
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor Degree (BA) in Business or Materials Management or equivalent and ten (10) or more years related experience and/or training, including at least five (5) years supervisory or management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Manages from ten (10) to twenty (20) Office and Technical, Salaried/Professional and Supervisory Stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms.
- Make telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and make formal presentations to small or large groups.
- Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Just in Time (JIT), Statistical Process Control (SPC), American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and standards.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Ability and willingness to assist and transfer technical knowledge to less experienced Stakeholders.
- Must be able to travel between facilities and operate standard office equipment.
