Print Shop Technician - Weekend AM & PM
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Weekend AM and PM Print Shop Technician for an opportunity in Marysville, Washington.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Print Shop Technician operates equipment that supports the production of honeycomb core, including operation of the print machine, oxidizer, and sheeter, as well as other tasks that result in the production of honeycomb hobes. Produces product as scheduled to meet production requirements. Production and AQ stamps may be required. Forklift operation may be required. Special PPE required for certain tasks.
- Operate print machine. Control print machines speed, glue application, drying temperature, tension, phase, and print quality.
- Set sheet length and controls on the sheeter for continuous cut length and sheet count.
- Start and monitor oxidizer.
- Ensure materials for production are at hand. Hoist paper onto unwind stands on print machine. Fill glue supply.
- Make dog ears and apply to hobes as necessary.
- Complete various housekeeping duties on the machine and within the department.
- Follow work instructions, complete production documentation as required. Must be able to follow all company and safety procedures.
- Requires little to no experience in discipline
- Conducts routine tasks as directed
- Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment
Qualifications and requirements:
- Ability to read, understand and follow procedures set forth in specifications and work instructions.
- Ability to understand operate print controls, controls of sheeter, and controls of dryer.
- Ability to assemble printer (screen, squeegees, glue pots, and paper) be familiar and have ability to use basic hand tools (screw drivers, measuring tape, hose clamps).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate with co-workers in English is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs with assistance.
- Overtime may be required; willingness and ability to work OT is required.
- No tools required.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
