Structural Engineer

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Structural Engineers for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

Oversees the development, design and production of repair, modification, process and inspection documentation in support of maintenance activities. Assist and provide guidance in the development of structural analysis for aircraft repairs and damaged aircraft structure. Evaluate and interpret AD, FAR, and policy requirements to ensure compliance in all engineering documentation. Aid in analyzing and correcting problems which hamper the maintenance support activities of the department. Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. 

Qualifications and requirements:

• BS degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical or aeronautical preferred)
• Strong experience in structural analysis.
• Proficient working experience with AutoCAD Inventor
• Experience using classical stress analysis (crippling, tension, compression, pin bending etc) in substantiation of structural repairs to the primary structure of the aircraft.
• Five (5) years of experience in aircraft maintenace of commercial aircraft with a strong structures background.
• A&P License preferred.
• Must possess excellent communication skills; verbal and written
• Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
• Must be willing to work any shift.
• Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
