Diesel Technician

TransTechs is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for maintenance work on a fleet of medium/heavy-duty vehicles for a national company that offers great benefits and an additional bonus. This is a great opportunity for experienced diesel mechanics to apply their skills and assist in training other employees.

Pay: $26.95 - $33.60 per hour, depending on experience

Shift: M – F, 2:30 pm – 11 pm

Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on company fleet of diesel powered trucks.
• Perform minor repairs of fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through an online system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers (XRS) and/or cameras (Drive Cam).
• Work in a safe manner, per company, local, state and federal policies and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with training other employees.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualified Candidates For The Diesel Mechanic Position Will Have Met The Following:

Required:

• Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 1+ years of related medium/heavy-duty maintenance and repair.
• Able to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a DOT drug test & DOT physical.
• Must furnish own tools and steel toe boots.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred:

• ASE certificate
• CDL, or ability to obtain
