Cabinet Fabricator - Kitting Operator

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Cabinet Fabricator - Kitting Operator for an opportunity in Little Rock, Arkansas.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Kitting Operators create the kits of parts needed on the shop floor according to the priority of each job. Kitting Operators are responsible for understanding what is needed where and when, anywhere in the shop.

  • Assemble and label parts from multiple providers to form workable assembly orders at the operation level and route to the proper work center.
  • Prioritize items to the (IMS) Industrial Master Schedule and/or (MES) Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Review planning and initiate corrective actions when needed per individual department guidelines.
  • Place non-workable issues on hold and monitor/ move to production when workable.
  • Coordinate sub kit parts schedule with Parts Inventory Specialist.
  • Coordinate parts schedule with Parts Liaisons.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and Company Safety Procedures.
  • Perform location maintenance to include neat and orderly appearance of parts, material and containers following company 5S and Lean guidelines.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Candidates must have construction, carpentry, or building experience.
  • Most work will be cabinets and they need to hit the floor running.
  • Associates Degree in a technical field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in aircraft (or related) production/manufacturing field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word)
  • Analytical and data mining skills
  • Good communication skills, written and oral
  • Must be able to function throughout the shop, lifting 50 pounds, climbing up and down stairs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) experience desired.
  • Root cause analysis training desired.
  • Corporate aircraft completion/refurbishment experience desired.
  • Experience with CATIA, CATP, and MES desired.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
