Quality Assurance Specialist 

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

 

Responsibilities: 
The position will be responsible for ensuring that all products produced conform to the requirements, as issued in accordance with company policy. Primary Functions • Responsible for ensuring all production operations meet inspection requirements • Reads Engineering blueprints to determine requirements for incoming inspections • Takes measurements of key characteristics of parts using traditional measuring devices • Records Acceptance / Rejection information in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool • Uses Instrumented and Non-Instrumented NDT techniques to verify integrity of all products • Issues statement of conformity for all parts produced at DFP

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent • 6+ years experience as a technician and / or inspector in an aviation environment • 3+ years experience as a technician, engineer, or inspector in a manufacturing or repair environment • Must be proficient with computers • Must be capable of using traditional measuring devices, such as scales, depth gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify that parts and raw materials meet specification requirements • Must be capable of interpreting drawings, blueprints, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, industry specifications, and any other related documents, as required • Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language • Experience with fabrication methods and practices of structural, composite and electrical parts and components. • Knowledge of equipment and facility maintenance, housekeeping and shop practices. MUST be flexible for overtime and changing work hours. Preferred / Highly Desirable: • Previous experience with Non-Instrumented NDT techniques, such as FPI / Sonic Tap Test • Previous experience with Non-Instrumented NDT techniques, such as HFEC, BHEC, TTU • Previous experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines • Previous role as an FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) or FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR) • Experience with an ERP software application
