Lean Implementation Manager

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Lean Implementation for an opportunity in Bellingham, WA.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The Lean Implementation Focal leads the business unit’s continuous improvement activities.  Advocate and facilitate incorporation of Lean practice throughout the organization. Serve as an in-house Lean consultant and drive as well as sustain effective process improvement.  Coordinates all business unit Lean systems including Lean management, Kaizen, problem solving, Lean training and 6S. Support Corporate Lean initiatives and other activities as directed.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent discipline required.
  • Lean Management: Champion implementation and continuous improvement of Lean management practices.
  • Kaizen workshops: Promote the use of Kaizen workshops to improve processes. Support Kaizens with expert facilitation, focused training and an efficient infrastructure.
  • Lean training: Run the Lean training program, continuously raising the bar on content and delivery method while simultaneously raising learning standards.
  • Kaizen newspapers: Maintain a robust Kaizen newspaper process.
  • 6S: Lead a 6S implementation program that strives towards a world-class facility.
  • Actively benchmark business unit performance against other Zodiac business units as well as outside manufacturers of comparable products.
  • Support corporate Lean initiatives, maintain and continuously improve scores on lean assessments and provide monthly reports as required.
  • Provide Lean assistance or resource to other business units as appropriate.
  • Lean certification or equivalent education or 10 years manufacturing experience required. Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • 6 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years supervising direct reports.
  • Involvement in at least 60 Kaizen or problem solving workshops. At least 10 as a leader and 20 as a facilitator.
