Avionics Test Technician

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Avionics Test Technician with for an opportunity in Exton, Pennsylvania.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Avionics Test Technician, under limited or no supervision, will be responsible for calibration of instrumentation, troubleshooting and repair of customer owned units to component level of all analog and digital circuitry, follow guidelines and procedures of FAR 145 repair station, interface with engineering directly in solving problems and validate Acceptance Test Procedures and utilize the correct software tools to adequately test the unit.

  • Avionics Mechanics/ Technicians inspect, diagnose, repair and monitor systems structure, gear, controls, power and electrical/ electronic systems and components as assigned.
  • The technician receives technical guidance from team leads and or supervisors, which may be more senior technicians, and based on skill and ability may be assigned as team leads for relevant tasks.
  • Uses hand tools, power tools, machines and ancillary equipment required to perform assigned task.
  • Read and interpret service and manufacturer maintenance manuals, instructions, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of maintaining and repairing malfunctioning systems, or ancillary equipment.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Two (2) years technical or equivalent education.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in testing or maintaining electronic equipment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Familiar with video and Ethernet circuitry troubleshooting (Flat Panel Instruments).
  • Strong background in electronics troubleshooting to component level.
  • Experience with ISO 9000.
  • Must pass eye exam.
  • Experience with Surface Mount Technology and through hole solder technology.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Completely fluent in the use of all electronic testing equipment, for example, scopes, multimeters, power supplies, frequency counters and other related test equipment
  • Must pass pre-employment urinalysis and background check.
