Diesel Technician
LAUNCH TransTechs is seeking a diesel mechanic for maintenance and repair on a diverse fleet of diesel vehicles. This is a great work environment with opportunities for career development. TransTechs is military friendly and veterans are encouraged to apply.
Pay: $32-$38 P/H DOE
Shift:
4 -10 - hour shifts!!
4AM to 2:30 PM Sunday thru Wednesday
Noon to 10:30 PM Wednesday thru Saturday
Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:
- You will maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all assigned Class 8 tractors and trailers.
- Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests.
- Perform system repairs to include engines, transmission, air and hydraulic systems, tires, refrigeration, drivetrain, steering and suspension, electrical and A/C.
- Perform all preventive maintenance inspections, state and federal mandated safety inspections and complete repairs in accordance with DOT requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, and refrigeration systems.
Qualified Candidates For The Diesel Mechanic Position Will Have Met The Following:
- Required:
- Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 3+ years of related tractor/heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
- Must possess own tools and steel toe boots.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a DOT drug test & DOT physical.
- Preferred:
- ASE certificate
- CDL, or ability to obtain
- Trade school diplomas
Working Conditions:
Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
