Director, Site Programs
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Director, Site Programs for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Maria, California.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Director of Site Programs has program performance and P&L responsibility for all the programs at the site.
- The Director of Site Programs will have direct responsibility for program and/or project managers assigned to him/her.
- The role provides management and leadership to a series of cross-functional integrated program teams (IPT) for the site.
- This role drives continuous improvement using company root cause and corrective action processes.
- The Director of Site Programs is responsible for delivering the program objectives, including managing program performance, risks/opportunities, and change control according to internal rules, processes and procedures.
- The Director of Site Programs will report to VP GM of the site with functional reporting to the EPV of Programs. The Director of Site Programs serves as the Customer(s) primary Point of Contact (POC).
Qualifications and requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and PMP certification.
20+ years of leadership experience with a minimum of 10 years of program management experience in a commercial aerospace environment.
Experience with lean principles and continuous improvement.
Expert knowledge of program management methodologies and proven ability to manage programs.
Computer Skills: Proficient with MS Project, competent with MS Office programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, ability to analyze & summarize information, strong financial acumen.
Demonstrated ability to deliver against key milestones and cost targets.
Emotionally resilient and able to drive projects effectively for excellence against demanding targets in a complex multi-disciplined environment.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMI PMP) is highly desirable.
Degree in Engineering preferred.
Advanced degree preferred
