Project Manager

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Project Manager with Aviation experience for an opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Directly responsible for implementing effective daily flow of all maintenance activities
  • Coordinates and monitors the completion events to accomplish customer aircraft work scopes
  • Maintains and updates aircraft status reports and coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure the customer requirements are met
  • Actively interfaces with appropriate departments to ensure contract compliance, as well as technical and financial performance
  • Manage project budget
  • Regularly communicates with the customer on the status of the project to include issues which may impact the aircraft’s scheduled delivery date
  • Assist in the preparation of project plans and schedules, including requirements, tasks, work assignments, resources, and the inclusion of project milestones
  • Assist in the selection of staff for project teams, as indicated by project skills requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to project staff
  • Report to management on project progress, problems, and the need for changes
  • Ensure that all work and documentation meets customer and company requirements
  • Fulfill administrative project reporting requirements
  • Assist Production Supervisors as required to manage check flow, resources, or other needs to ensure timely, efficient, and safe delivery of aircraft project
  • Manage and coordinate with all internal departments and external vendors as required to ensure proper resources are available for project execution
  • Maintain project status reporting requirements to production and all other maintenance departments

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have current and active FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
  • 5 years (minimum) prior experience in aircraft maintenance environment required (i.e., Airline, Modification/Repair/Overhaul, or Manufacture) required
  • 3 years (minimum) supervisory experience required
  • Knowledgeable of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulations (i.e., Part 121, 135, 145, etc.)
  • Strong customer relationship skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
