Dimensional Inspector

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Dimensional Inspector for an opportunity in Arlington, WA

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Inspects materials received, finished products, and work in process of fabrication into metal products to ensure conformance with work orders, drawings and template specifications by performing the following duties.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Manufacturing Dimensional Inspection experience required
  • Measures centerlines and reference points to verify initial and assembly layout and machine setup using both mechanical and computerized measuring devices such as CMM and FARO Arm ?
  • Knowledge of CAD, CAM, and Master Cam programs. ?
  • Verifies physical properties and size of materials such as plates, sheets, structural shapes, castings, ?forgings, dies, fixtures, and work produced by fabricating machines. ?
  • Verifies hole size. ?
  • Skilled at optical comparator, height gage, micrometers, calipers, electronic and analog bore gages, ?protractor, and other miscellaneous hand tools. ?
  • Examines finished products for rough edges, cracks, and appearance. ?
  • Marks parts for acceptance or rejection. ?
  • Coach other inspectors ?
  • Makes reports to suggest changes in dies, fixtures, and materials used. ?
  • Makes reports to document non-conformances or discrepancies. ?
  • Reports inspection results. ?
  • Recommends procedure for special or scrapping operations. ?
  • Inspects material for internal defects. ?
  • Signs in and out of work order for each job. ?
  • Experienced with AS9102 ?
  • Assist machine operators ?
  • Must be able to read blue prints/specifications from engineering drawings.
  • Must be able to use a variety of tools and machines for inspection.
  • Ability to follow and comprehend verbal and written instructions as well as present information in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measurement in percentage, fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse and team environment.
  • Ability to learn basic computer skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
