Senior Buyer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a senior buyer for an opportunity in Ardmore, OK.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders relative to requisition requirements ensuring continuous workflow of purchased materials in an effort to meet the schedule needs of all departments. Directly responsible for vendor relations. Responsible to ensure the Purchasing Department is operating in compliance with the Repair Station Manual and Operations Manual. Responsible for the performance of all purchasers and buyers.
Qualifications and requirements:
BS/BA in Purchasing, Business, Marketing or related field preferred or equivalent experience. Minimum of three (10) years of aerospace purchasing experience.
- Generate and process purchase orders to buy production (inventory & non-inventory) goods, tools and supplies, office and warehouse needs as assigned
- Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
- Experience in ERP data entry & reports.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Suggests, investigates, implements, monitors and reports on cost savings initiatives; develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
