Final Assembly Inspector
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Final Assembly Inspector for an opportunity in Arlington, WA
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect finished goods and their work flow document packages coming from internal assembly and from outside processing vendors (passivate, penetrant, anodize, Alodine or chem. treat, primer, paint, heat treat, brush finish, etc.). Inspect, validate and process parts rejected as nonconforming from customers in a timely manner, Carefully interpret and enforce aerospace finish and workmanship specifications as flowed down by our customers, Write accurate and complete NCR’s (nonconformance reports) and rejection red tags, quarantine suspect parts for MRB Microsoft office suite and computer use is a must (see job description).
Qualifications and requirements:
- Manufacturing Final Assembly Experience Required
- Verifies initial and assembly layout and machine setup using both mechanical and electronic measuring devices such as calipers, height gages, micrometers. ?
- Verifies physical properties and size of materials such as plates, sheets, structural shapes, castings, forgings, dies, fixtures, and work produced by fabricating machines. ?
- Verifies hole size. ?
- Examines finished products for rough edges, cracks, and appearance. ?
- Marks parts for acceptance or rejection. ?
- Makes reports to suggest changes in dies, fixtures, and materials used. ?
- Makes reports to document non-conformances or discrepancies. ?
- Reports inspection results. ?
- Recommends procedure for special or scrapping operations. ?
- Inspects material for internal defects. ?
- Signs in and out of work order for each job. ?
- Follow instructions from the QA and other UAC managers. ?
- Work with office personnel on the creation of NCR’s to clear RMA tags from customers. ?
- Help assist other inspectors and shipping/part marking personnel. ?
- Complete AS9102 first article reports. ?
- Responsible to close out NCR’s through disposition (with Planning Department). ?
- Must be able to read blue prints/specifications from engineering drawings.
- Must be able to use a variety of tools and machines for inspection.
- Ability to follow and comprehend verbal and written instructions as well as present information in both verbal and written form.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measurement in percentage, fractions and decimals.
- Ability to work well in a diverse and team environment.
- Ability to learn basic computer skills.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
