Manufacturing Instructor
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a manufacturing instructor for an opportunity in Panama City, FL
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will serve as class instructors in pre-employment training programs, including but not limited to soft skills, technical skills, and process specifics. The right candidate should possess skills ranging from industrial safety, composite lay-up, assembly processes including sealing and hole preparation, related manufacturing processes and techniques, industrial math, and inspection methods.
- Skill in comprehending technical literature and processes.
- Ability to utilize related experience in similar applications to effectively present technical information to groups in a classroom or lab environment.
- Knowledge of pre-employment training program skill requirements.
- Knowledge of industrial training and retraining procedures.
- Collaborate with college departments to provide training opportunities aligned with academic workforce agenda.
- Design, plan, coordinate, conduct and evaluate training programs for target audiences.
- Apply industrial experience and collaborate with industry clients to develop curriculum, course lesson plans and materials, exercises, and examinations.
- Ability to determine learning objectives, design course content, assess the most effective method for achieving learning objectives, monitor employee progress, and evaluate and ensure training effectiveness.
- Organize and maintain all supplies and equipment needed for classroom and/or practical instruction.
- Provide direction to support staff, respond to customer inquiries, provide guidance regarding open enrollment courses, rosters, and certificates and submit
- Ability to work flexible days, nights, weekends, and hours based on program needs.
- Ability to travel to and from the instructional site.
- Evaluating courses to identify areas that might be improved.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Training and Development, Human Resources, Business Communications or related field preferred, and/or a combination of 5 to 7 years of education and relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 5 or more years’ experience in instructor-led or eLearning instructional design and training or related experience.
- Extensive, demonstrated knowledge of course curriculum content
- Work experience in a manufacturing company preferred with related experience in composite and/or assembly processes in aerospace or related industries.
