Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Duties Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs and maintenance on all equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Review and complete repairs identified on driver inspection reports and/or repair orders.
• Communicate with managers and drivers on issues with vehicles and determine preventative techniques to minimize future repairs.
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• The equivalent of a high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of all maintenance and repair techniques.
• Able to hold and maintain a valid CDL license, preferred.
• Mechanical or trade school certification, preferred.
• Must have own steel toe boots.
• Must have own set of tools.
• Computer skills as required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
