67 - Shop Foreman - Youngstown, OH
Contract to Direct (180)
Shift: 2nd shift Monday - Friday 3:30 PM to Midnight
Pay: $35k base and Bonus based on shop's performers and metrics (all directly controlled by Foreman). Bonus is paid once a month, on a 2nd check of the month. Typically, over $2k a month. Total yearly compensation is usueally $60k - $70k

*** Shop Foreman acts as a Supervisor and Service Advisor
Shop Foreman is responsible for supervising 5-6 techs on the shift. Delegate tasks, make sure shop is running efficiently, work is done correctly, communicate with clients (typically large fleets) about progress and what is wrong with vehicles, etc. This is supervisory role, so they will not be repairing anything.
Supervises maintenance shop employees.
Works with the our manufactures regarding all service support bulletins, notices and programs for our service department ensuring that our technicians are current on all information.
Maximizing the flow of repair orders within the Service department and effectively working closely with our parts department to insure timely and efficient results
Excellent people and phone skills, both verbally and written
Heavy-Duty truck experience a huge plus!
Solid computer skills able to maneuver factory sites and Procede experience are ideal but not required.
Communicate fleet status with dispatch and management and ensures compliance to all requirements.
Maintains records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed and assures proper data entry.
Schedules work to be performed based on routine preventive maintenance inspections.
Procures parts necessary to complete repairs within assigned limits. Conducts employee observations.
Discusses findings with employees.
Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies
Inspects trucks and tools.
Maintains a safe and productive work environment.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Lead by example and embrace our Elite Support principles
Report to the Service Manager regarding progress on issues that are identified, pending or resolved
Requirements:
Ideal candidate will be foreman from Diesel Dealership environment, Fleet Supervisor with good customer service skills, Shop Manager, etc.
Strong Customer Service Skills, Computer Skills, Leadership Skills
5+ year of experience in Diesel
